PlayWorks is a social enterprise where children develop self esteem, independence, a positive outlook and effective self expression skills through art, creativity and play. PlayWorks playgroup sessions provide parents and care-givers an opportunity to spend quality time with their children, learning and sharing development skills in a creative, nurturing environment. PlayWorks Art and Lego Build sessions provide children with a safe place to express themselves creatively and build relationships with others in a caring environment.

About the founder, Sherrise

I am a mum of three - two boys and a girl and have a long-standing passion for the arts. Graduating with a degree in journalism, I worked in public relations for 15 years in Perth, Canada and the UK before starting a family back here in WA. Always exploring art, design, drawing, journaling and self reflection, I returned to study with a graduate diploma of education as an early childhood education specialist. I felt that here is where I could incorporate art, self expression and the love of learning openly in the classroom.

Whether it be our Lego workshops, art classes or playgroup, our primary goal is to nurture the desire to explore, discover and express ideas and new experiences in a safe, friendly environment. We aim to build self esteem, self confidence and resilience through creative play across all areas, to contribute positively to the growth of the whole child.

I am always open for discussion, please contact me through Playworks if you would like to find out more about our ground-swell of positivity.
